1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the GateCoupon website (gatecoupon.com) or purchasing and using the Coupon Required for WooCommerce Checkout plugin ("the Plugin"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

GateCoupon provides a WordPress/WooCommerce plugin that requires customers to apply a valid coupon before completing checkout. We offer a free version and a paid PRO version with additional features.

3. License

3.1 Free Version

The free version of the Plugin is distributed under the GPL-2.0-or-later license. You may use, modify, and redistribute it in accordance with that license.

3.2 PRO Version

The PRO version is also distributed under the GPL-2.0-or-later license. Your purchase grants you:

  • A license key to activate PRO features on the number of sites covered by your plan (1 site for PRO, unlimited for Agency).
  • Access to automatic updates for the duration of your license.
  • Priority email support for the duration of your license.

The license key is personal and non-transferable. Sharing license keys with third parties is a violation of these terms and may result in revocation.

3.3 GPL Clarification

The Plugin code is GPL-licensed. You may modify and redistribute the code. However, your license key entitles you to our update and support services - these services are not transferable with the code.

4. Purchases and Payment

  • All prices are listed in USD and exclude applicable taxes (VAT, sales tax) unless stated otherwise.
  • Payment is processed at the time of purchase via third-party payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, or others as available).
  • Licenses are delivered immediately via email upon successful payment.

5. License Renewal

PRO and Agency licenses are valid for one year from the date of purchase. After expiration:

  • The Plugin continues to function normally.
  • You will no longer receive automatic updates.
  • Priority support access ends.

You may renew your license at any time to restore update and support access.

7. Support

PRO and Agency license holders receive priority email support. Free version users may seek help through the WordPress.org support forums. We aim to respond to support requests within 2 business days.

Support covers:

  • Plugin installation and configuration.
  • Bug reports and troubleshooting.
  • License activation issues.

Support does not cover:

  • Custom development or modifications.
  • Third-party plugin or theme conflicts (though we will assist with diagnosis).
  • General WordPress or WooCommerce support.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Plugin for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, circumvent, or abuse the license activation system.
  • Share your license key publicly or with unauthorized third parties.
  • Use automated tools to brute-force or abuse our license API.

Violation of these terms may result in license revocation without refund.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Plugin is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Plugin will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every WordPress theme, plugin, or hosting environment.

We are not responsible for lost sales, revenue, or data resulting from the use or inability to use the Plugin.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GateCoupon's total liability for any claim arising from or related to these terms or the Plugin shall not exceed the amount you paid for your license in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which GateCoupon.com operates. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal proceedings.
